Valeria Paoloni PhD Student (XXXI cycle) and Giuseppina Laganà (PhD XXIX cycle) won the Best Research Award with a paper demonstrating the usefulness of Orthodontics for patients’ oral and general health. The research title is “3D evaluation of maxillary morphology in Marfan growing subjects: a controlled clinical study” and it has been discussed during the SIDO 49th International Congress in Florence – October 12-13, 2018.
This scientific award was given to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian Orthodontic Society. The research was possible as a good scientific collaboration between Dr Giuseppina Laganà Orthodontic Department (Head: Prof. Paola Cozza) and the Centre for Rare Diseases, for Marfan Syndrome and Related Disorders (Head: Prof. Giovanni Ruvolo).
